dtchdsck: #the one comfort in these dark times #is that no matter how many times people scream ‘BUT NOT ALL SHERLOCK FANS ARE LIKE THAT OK!!!!!!!’#this will always be remembered by everyone else #as that time the Sherlock fandom threw a huge misogynist (& racist) tantrum #and tried to straight-up kill another fandom out of spite #because someone dared to cast Watson as a WOC instead of a white dude #good job Sherlock fandom #good job I hadn’t heard about this show or seen the debate around it so I just searched on Tumblr for “Lucy Liu,” which was of course a huge mistake, since the results were about 3% “Did you know Lucy Liu is in the new Sherlock Holmes show” and 97% “Did you know Lucy Liu WAS TOTALLY NAKED THIS ONE TIME TEN YEARS AGO LOOK AT THESE PICS BRO”
